STI Testing: When and How to Do?
Why is STI Testing SO Important for You?
“I have no STI, trust me” is a typical excuse for a bad and selfish lover. Why so? Because a good one thinks not only about his sexual pleasure but also about the partner's health.
You and your health are important to The Sexfulness Team that’s why we make this post❤️
⠀
We’ve prepared a detailed instruction "STI tests: when and how":
⠀
✅ Once a year - a visit to a gynecologist, a smear for flora, which helps to determine any inflammation. Plus, once a year you should take a cytology test to reveal the changes in the cervix cells.
✅ If you change your sexual partner or if you have unprotected sex, you should get tested for STIs by PCR. Mandatory analyzes: mycoplasma genitalia, chlamydia, gonococcus, trichomonas. They are most often asymptomatic.
✅Analysis for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C — you will have to take them several times. Immediately after unprotected sex and again after 3 and 6 months. During this time, antibodies may appear in the blood.
✅ HPV is another question. In general, more than 90% of people live with this virus, like with the herpes virus. Strong immune system can cope with it. Therefore, the main thing in the fight against HPV is to maintain strong immunity. There is no cure for HPV!
⠀
❗️IMPORTANT: there are oncogenic types of the virus, and if you have them found, you should carefully monitor your cervix and regularly take oncocytology so that the changes are detected at an early stage.
⠀
Take care of yourself❤️
